Back injury anyone?

Back pain from injury is debilitating and can affect all aspects of a person's life. Our Team Fitness client,Mitch,was one of those people. In his early 20's and unable to work because of his back pain, Mitch gave us a chance at helping him get his life back. Our team of personal trainers worked together to create a program specific to his needs and limitations. Mitch was dedicated to his training and through his hard work and persistance he has transformed himself. We are all so very proud of him, his hard work has paid off!!

Here is his story;


" In 2008 I had surgery on my back to fix a herniated disc. For the next three years my back was a complete mess. I wasn’t able to work and I was in constant pain. For a long time I didn’t think my chronic pain symptoms would go away. A general malaise took over my life as I was uncertain if I would ever return to my pre-injured self.



In February of 2011, on a recommendation, I began working out with Team Fitness. I went in with low expectations, as all of my previous rehab attempts had proven futile. Within weeks I could feel strength returning to my back. Team Fitness worked intensively with me to create an individually designed fitness regimen.



I now have minimal, to no pain during day-to-day activities. With the absence of pain my melancholy has dissipated, and for the first time in three years I am able to play a full round of golf, a sport I honestly believed I would never play again."

" I feel and look so much better and people that I haven’t seen in a while are shocked when they see me.  The really great thing is that I never found it hard after the first week.  That week was tough I think I actually went through withdrawl but after that I have not found it hard at all. I do exercise more than I did when I first started. I found that once the weight started coming off I was much more motivated to exercise since I could really see the results.  I did not want to do fad diets and things like that since I seen so many of my friends so that and just get heavier.   I have really learned a lot with this plan on how to eat and what to eat and it has worked out well for me.
